Storm Damage – Acworth Office Building

Storm damage struck this Acworth office building when rainwater breached the roof and entered the top floor of the building. The before photo shows how bad the flooding on that floor was. SERVPRO of Northwest Cobb County was called in during the storm to place tarps on the roof in an attempt to stem the flow of water into the building. While we were successful, a great deal of water had already made its way to the interior of the building. We provided trained technicians with sufficient water removal equipment to extract the water. After we had cleaned up the standing water, we set in place commercial air movers and dehumidifiers to aid in the drying process. Naturally, roof repairs were being taken care of simultaneously with the interior remediation.
